In collaboration with the University of Twente and Ernst Bohlmeijer (Professor of Positive Mental Health at UT), we developed Training in Positivity (TIP). The app is made for people who can use a mental boost. Thus, TIP supports its users in increasing their well-being and reducing stress. This is done in six modules, spread over three weeks.
Each module lasts three days and consists of an introduction video, a written explanation and an exercise to develop a source of positivity. All exercises in the app are based on 'positive psychology'. This is a movement within psychology that emphasizes possibilities, rather than impossibilities.
Users are inspired every day when they start the app by a quote about positivity. In addition, TIP encourages its users to take daily pictures of something that makes them feel good. This way, users end up creating a gallery of images of positivity.
Thanks to the onboarding, the user will become familiar with all functionalities of TIP.

By answering questions, the user develops a greater understanding about their emotions.

Users can read extra information about the goal of each exercise.
After completing the questions, the user receives a score. They can later compare this score with the old one to see if progress has been made.
The user is asked daily what made them happy that day. Thus, the user creates a gallery of positivity.
