The new Pito app brings local residents together in one central place for neighbourhood communication, activities and local deals. Pito provides a safe and easy-to-use environment where residents can share notifications, requests for help and community activities. This makes it easier for neighbours to connect and encourages greater engagement within the local area.
In addition, Pito introduces neighbourhood deals: collective discounts that residents can benefit from together. Part of the revenue generated is donated to local charities participating in the platform. This means the community benefits from collective savings, while local charities receive additional visibility and financial support.
From concept to first rollout
To validate the concept with end users as quickly as possible, a data-driven approach was chosen. The first pilot of the Pito app launched in Woerden and Utrecht in May 2026, allowing user feedback and experiences to be incorporated directly into further development.
This approach makes it possible to test in a focused way, make rapid adjustments and optimise the app step by step. In doing so, a strong foundation is established for the continued growth and expansion of the platform.
