Together with Erasmus University Rotterdam, we are launching the renewed ROOM app: an innovative tool designed to support students in their personal development and wellbeing.
ROOM: Student platform for personal development
Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) is renowned for its international character, academic excellence, and social impact. Developed as part of the Student Wellbeing Programme, the ROOM solution is an accessible app that helps students deal with stress, emotions, and challenges. The app is fully science-based and combines insights from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness into a personalised approach that students can apply independently. With just 5–10 minutes a day, they learn skills that boost resilience, strengthen wellbeing, and stimulate personal growth.
The first update is live
Since early 2025, DTT and Erasmus University Rotterdam have been working together on the further development of ROOM. The first update from this collaboration is now live — the result of a successful preparation phase and an agile way of working.
This update introduces improved onboarding, new gamification elements, and additional tools that contribute to ongoing research within the Student Wellbeing Programme. In this way, we continue to build a platform that supports students even better in their daily lives. We look forward to the upcoming updates, which will bring many more valuable improvements.
Doing Things Together
With a data-driven approach and a focus on usability, effectiveness, and measurable results, we have elevated the app to the next level. The result: a platform that students can use anytime and anywhere to support their wellbeing and personal development.
