Digital support for mental wellbeing
The Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital is part of the largest university medical centre in the Netherlands. Connection, responsibility and entrepreneurship are central to this.
Together with the Sophia Children’s Hospital, we are taking the next step in providing digital support for young people’s mental wellbeing.
Doing Things Together
Together with Erasmus MC, we are working on the further development of the ‘Grow It!’ app: a digital solution that supports young people aged between 12 and 25 with their mental wellbeing. Using playful and motivational gamification, the app helps this young target group gain insight into their emotions and coping strategies. The collaboration takes place within the eHealth Junior consortium, which focuses on digital innovations for chronically ill children.
During the coronavirus pandemic, the ‘Grow It!’ app has already helped thousands of young people. Together with Erasmus MC, we will build on these initial promising results. In the next phase of the app’s development, we will focus on an improved user experience, future-proof technology and new interactions that are even better suited to a dynamic target group and diverse healthcare applications.
